Chiang Mai Rajabhat University Hosted the 17th Thailand Academic Seminar on Renewable Energy Models for Communities (TREC-17)
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatree Maneekosol, Acting President of Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, had the honor of welcoming Mr. Thosaphon Phuean-udom, Deputy Governor of Chiang Mai Province, who served as the chairman of the ceremony, along with the seminar participants. The event was the 17th Thailand Renewable Energy for Community Conference (TREC-17), under the theme "Appropriate Renewable Energy Technologies for Scaling Up Smart Communities." It was held at the Tipangkorn Rassamichoti Auditorium, Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, Mae Rim Campus, on October 29, 2024.
The 17th Thailand Renewable Energy for Community Conference (TREC-17), under the theme "Appropriate Renewable Energy Technologies for Scaling Up Smart Communities," was organized by the Asian Development College for Community Economy and Technology (adiCET), Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, in collaboration with the Thailand Renewable Energy for Community Association and partner organizations. This conference aimed to disseminate research, inventions, technologies, and innovations in renewable energy for communities. Research outputs and collaborative efforts play a crucial role in advancing community energy development. The event provided an opportunity for faculty members, researchers, academics, and students to present their academic work, along with special lectures on various topics and panel discussions featuring experts from diverse energy fields. The conference sought to strengthen academic excellence, enhance research effectiveness, and promote knowledge dissemination. It also fostered collaboration among researchers, energy industry enterprises, communities, and the general public.
In this meeting A total of 81 articles were presented by participants, with work from approximately 50 agencies being displayed. And there were more than 400 people who registered to attend the event online, which reflects the interest and importance of developing renewable energy in the community.
