adiCET visited the NEA to promote cooperation in driving the Smart Grid in Thailand and ASEAN.

A group of administrators and researchers from adiCET, including Asst. Prof. Dr. Hathaithip Sinthaya, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wattanapong Rakwichian and Asst. Prof. Dr. Worachit Setthaphan, visited the National Defense College (NDC) to discuss ways of cooperation in driving the Smart Grid project in Thailand and the ASEAN region.

The meeting started with a lecture on the topic. "The direction of the world trend of modern energy 2025-2035" by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wattanapong Rakwichian, who presented guidelines for the transition of the energy system from a centralized system to a decentralized system. Emphasizing the role of communities as producers and consumers of energy (Prosumers) through the ASEAN Prosumer Community Microgrid Showcase project.

The lecture also emphasized the importance of developing personnel in the field of Smart Grid Technology and promoting collaboration between adiCET and the think tank group of WPO in developing sustainable energy policies. The meeting discussed approaches to supporting personnel at all levels, from short-term training to doctoral degrees, including the development of curricula focused on enhancing expertise in energy technology.

This discussion reflects the close cooperation between adiCET and WPO in promoting smart energy systems. The goal is to create long-term energy security for Thailand and the ASEAN region. and elevate Thailand to be a sustainable leader in Smart Grid in this region.
