Prof. Dr. Worachit Setthaphan visited the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO) office at O-NES Tower, Bangkok. To discuss guidelines for developing the Smart Village project and creating a mechanism for cooperation in smart energy at the ASEAN level.

This meeting focused on presenting approaches for developing the Smart Village project, a pilot initiative implemented by adiCET. The project aims to develop a decentralized grid system and manage energy through the Prosumer Community Microgrid (PCM). This concept emphasizes the use of renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic (PV) solar panels and battery storage assets, to enhance energy security and reduce dependence on the central power grid.

NEDO has expressed interest in this concept and discussed the collaboration mechanism of ASGC-Net (ASEAN Smart Grid Collaboration Network) to support infrastructure development, personnel training, and research promotion in related fields. The meeting also addressed fostering cooperation between the public and private sectors to drive smart energy projects at the regional level.

The meeting between adiCET and NEDO is an important step in developing smart energy cooperation in ASEAN. Emphasizing the importance of using technology to improve people's quality of life.
